From Darkness to Light #1 opens the series with that revelation: a 36" × 36" canvas in which acrylic mixed media layers build a night sky alive with hues that have no business being there by conventional understanding, and yet are undeniably, beautifully present. This is a painting about the transition from one state to another — from not seeing to seeing, from darkness to the light that was always waiting inside it. The first work in a series that traces that journey across canvases, scales, and years.
