The town stirs slowly, the canals begin to move, and for a brief, luminous hour, Venice belongs entirely to the morning. Venice Awakes is a painting born from that hour — a monumental work that captures the quality of light and life at the precise moment when a legendary city opens its eyes. Created during Jumper Maybach’s 2014 exhibition at Villa Pisani National Museum, this 55" × 76" canvas carries the full weight of that experience: the color, the motion, and the irreplaceable beauty of a world coming back to life.
